Our Story
Welcome to Let's Swim! Swim School
Hi, I'm Lauren, Director of Let's Swim! and a swim teacher of nearly 20 years. Swimming has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a former state swimmer, I've always loved the calm of following that black line down the pool. From the very beginning it was my dream to open a swim school of my own, to share that love with little ones and help them feel safe, confident, and happy in the water.

In 2019, that dream came true when my husband Will and I opened Let's Swim! on Champion Road. I hoped we might reach 200 students, but we doubled that in under six months. Since then, Let's Swim! has been recognised with multiple awards, including Outstanding Specialised Business (2024), National Small Business Champion (2025), and most recently, National & Victorian Swim School of the Year (under 1000 lessons/week), which is such an honour and I'm still pinching myself about!
As demand grew, I focused on raising our two kids, Poppy and Thomas, and building Champion Road into the swim school I'd always envisioned. But after years of families asking for a bigger pool, Will and I knew it was time to expand.
None of this would have been possible without my family and our incredible team. Let's Swim! is truly a family-run business. My Mum and Dad scrub the floors each week and are a massive help behind the scenes. My sister Dee manages Let's Swim! Champion Road, and my other sister Sharnie has been amazing in helping us open our new Robbins Circuit site. And of course, Will, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
Today, I feel so lucky to welcome families through the doors of both our swim schools in Williamstown North and Newport, and to share the joy of being in the water with a whole new generation of little swimmers.

At Let's Swim!, our vision is simple: to create a warm, welcoming space where people of all ages learn to love the water as much as we do. We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen, not just taught to swim, but nurtured through every step of their learn-to-swim journey. Whether it's a baby's very first splash, a child mastering their strokes, or an adult taking the plunge later in life, we're here to celebrate every milestone alongside you.

We're a boutique swim school and we like it that way. With a maximum of just three classes running at any one time in our private, heated 32 degree pool, every swimmer gets the attention and encouragement they deserve. No one slips through the cracks here, every swimmer is known by name, and their confidence built lesson by lesson.
Our teachers are fully qualified, warm, and genuinely passionate about what they do, because great swim teaching is as much about connection as it is technique.
Living in Australia, we're surrounded by water, from backyard pools to the beaches we love, so knowing how to swim is essential. That's why we teach water safety alongside technique from the very first lesson.
And it's not just for the little ones, we welcome adult swimmers too. Whether you never had the chance to learn as a child or want to build your confidence, it's never too late to start.
